New Orleans Saints’ Wide Receiver Juwan Johnson has recently announced a new partnership with Louisiana’s rising beverage brand Hydra-Guard Sports Drink. Juwan now joins the roster of elite professional athletes such as Denver Nuggets’ Paul Millsap, Minnesota Vikings’ Alex Mattison, Dallas Cowboys’ Cedrick Wilson, and his New Orleans Saints’ teammate Terron Armstead.

 

Johnson, who attended Penn State out of Glassboro (NJ) High School, redshirted his first year and saw action on special teams in his second year of college before working his way into the offense in the 2017 season.  After catching 54 passes for 701 yards and a touchdown, he earned an All-Big 10 recognition award that year. Johnson later transferred to Oregon after the year where he would join this year’s sixth overall draft pick, quarterback Justin Herbert. Despite Johnson’s ability to only play eight games due to injuries, he was able to add 30 receptions for 467 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2019 for the Ducks.

 

Juwan Johnson is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, bargains among undrafted free agency pickups in 2020. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound wide receiver was projected by some to be chosen in the fifth or sixth round. Johnson had no doubts when considering the New Orleans Saints as per recommendation from his older brother George, a former defensive end who spent eight seasons in the league. One of George’s stops was with the Saints in 2017 and Juwan was able to receive a ringing endorsement from him.
